The calculator multiplies your area by the low and high end of the rate for the finish you pick. Plain concrete is $95 to $130 per square metre, coloured $115 to $160, exposed aggregate $130 to $185, all supplied and laid. Ticking removal adds about $35 per square metre for breaking out and carting away an existing slab.
What it does not do is look at your block. A pump where the truck cannot reach, clay that wants more base, a crossing poured to Lake Macquarie's 125 mm, and the stone you choose for exposed aggregate all move the figure inside the range, and the council application fee is separate again. That is why the range is a bracket and the written quote after a measure is the price.

Calculator questions
How do I measure my driveway for the calculator?
Length is from the garage door, or where the driveway will start, to the kerb. Width is the width you want, not the width you have. A single driveway is usually 3 metres, a double 5 to 6. For a widening strip, enter the strip alone: its length by the extra width.
Does the calculator include the council crossing?
It prices the whole length at the driveway rate, crossing included, because the crossing is part of the same pour. What it cannot know is the council application fee, which is paid to council separately, or whether the crossing needs a thicker slab than the rest. Both are settled on the written quote.
Why does the calculator give a range?
Because the rates it uses are ranges: plain $95 to $130 per m², coloured $115 to $160, exposed aggregate $130 to $185. Access, ground and stone choice decide where in the range a job lands, and those are read on site.
